Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Manufacturing Program Leader based at our manufacturing facility located in Berea, Kentucky.
This position will have a key influence on the organization by driving and delivering Global Manufacturing Programs, by closely collaborating with plants and their leadership to ensure completion of projects and that projects are delivered on time and at or under cost. This position shall own the overall leadership and coordination of major cross-functional workstreams utilizing both direct and indirect reports. This individual interacts with all aspects and at all levels of the organization from the factory floor to the C-Suite including product development, manufacturing engineering, global manufacturing operations, procurement / supply chain, finance, and quality functions.
What you will do:
- Drive Operational Transformation: Lead significant projects to transform operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate Across Plants: Work closely with multiple manufacturing plants to drive and deliver effective execution of manufacturing and cross-functional workstreams.
- Lead Cross-Functional Workstreams: Oversee the development and integration of detailed project plans, coordinating efforts across various departments including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and NPI functions.
- Remove Obstacles: Identify and eliminate barriers to ensure seamless execution of programs, facilitating smooth progress and timely completion.
- Deliver to Project Timelines: Ensure projects adhere to approved timelines and scope, providing regular updates to executive leadership.
- Coordinate Functions: Ensure alignment and coordination among Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and NPI functions to achieve project objectives.
- Meet Financial Goals: Drive programs to meet financial budgets and savings commitments, ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
- Conduct Executive Reviews: Lead and participate in executive-level program reviews, presenting progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Resolve Conflicts and Mitigate Risks: Facilitate conflict resolution, plan for and reduce project risks, and ensure leadership is fully aware of any challenges and required changes.
- Lead and Motivate Teams: Effectively lead teams to achieve high performance and morale, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Who you are:

- Detail-oriented: You ensure timely and effective execution of programs, meeting financial budgets and objectives.
- Adaptable: You interact with all levels of the organization, adapting and leading in diverse environments.
What you will need:
- B.S. in Business or Engineering, Master’s preferred.
- 5-10 years’ experience in leadership positions in manufacturing.
- Technical manufacturing knowledge in multiple areas, including automation, welding, material flow engineering, and demand flow technology.
Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Forklift truck product knowledge preferred.
- Experience with tools and techniques associated with project management.
- Knowledge and application experience with financial principles and controls.
- Ability to provide leadership in the development of teams that engage employees and empower them to drive continuous improvement.
- Strategic development and planning skills.
- Strong communication and influence skills.
- Formal training enhanced by experience in managing large complex projects through multi-national, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environments at multiple levels within a complex international organization.
- Ability and availability to travel globally on occasion.
