HYMH is looking for an energetic Flow Line Coordinator (1st shift – 5am-3:30pm) who will have a positive influence on the Materials Flow team. As a Flow Line Coordinator, you will coordinate the smooth and efficient flow of components and materials so lift trucks/components can be assembled with a high degree of production linearity using Demand Flow Technology (DFT) principals. Sequence flow of major components and final assembly as necessary to meet customer demand. Expedite internal production flow and maintain documents to achieve build dates. Oversee lineside inventory levels and safety stock levels in accordance with established DFT inventory targets.
The Successful Flow Line Coordinator Will Provide the Following Key Accountabilities:
- Analyze and coordinate forklift build under the SAP/Service Reference Manual (SRM) system to achieve daily customer responsiveness objective and improving daily on time performance.
- Provide quality components and materials to manufacture forklifts based on production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Commit trucks daily, run Non-Replenishable Kanban (NRK) report, re-sequence cells as necessary, run NRK pick tickets and distribute to stores, assembly, and fabrication.
- Sequence report and distribution
- Run POS documents and distribute daily to fabrication and assembly
- Provide a constant flow of materials through manufacturing utilizing DFT methods.
- Monitor reports daily to ensure correct documents are in production. Request and monitor clear to ship, backlog, and daily slot reports.
- Communicate with Senior Planner and Operational Buyers as required to support continuity-of-supply and adequate material flow.
- Provide accurate documents ensuring proper components are on orders.
- Provide management with daily product/ material shortage status.
- Track “short parts” using Stock out Forms and communicate with supervisors and managers as needed.
- Keeps manufacturing supervision advised of potential problems to ensure proper flow through manufacturing.

- Error Tracking Form Resolution
- Dependable and accurate inventory to support build schedule.
- Coordinate service orders to meet the demand and external customers.
- Ensure satisfaction for external customers by ensuring service fab shop orders and kanbans are ordered for trucks that may be down in the field, and supply shelf items to the parts depot.
- Coordinate and enter orders for Kanbans on the AS400 system.
- Obtain components to support daily manufacturing.
- Ensure truck re-promise dates are communicated in a timely and accurate basis.
- Keeps management and marketing informed of daily activity. Maintain on-time delivery of re-promise dates at 100%
- Engineering Change Notes (ECN) Coordination
- In conjunction with Engineering, executes ECN breakpoints with manufacturing minimizing obsolescence.
The Successful Flow Line Coordinator Will Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications:
- BS with 1 year of manufacturing experience, required.
- In lieu of degree, minimum of 3 years, in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in heavy equipment or Big Lift-Truck systems industry, preferred.
- Functional knowledge of Demand Flow Technology and assembly and fabrication
- Systems knowledge AS400, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NOMS, CORE, EDM, preferred.
- Interdepartmental experience with planning, stores, scheduling, engineering, data control, and purchasing.
- Problem solving and good communication skills.
