(HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Innovation Validation Project Engineer in our Innovation Facility located in the Clackamas, Oregon. HYMH designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 90 years.

HYMH is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the Innovation team. This position plays an important role in the validation of all new innovation products. This individual interacts with all aspects of the organization, including design, test, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure we deliver quality lift trucks that meet customer requirements and acceptance. Responsibilities

• Conduct test plans (DVP&R, cycle tests, durability tests) for component and systems validation
• Instrument and test new systems and components, both on and off vehicle
• Design/Develop required test apparatus and fixtures
• Identify and resolve development issues working closely with Design groups and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records for all system/component test input/outputs
• Troubleshoot field/service issues
• Maintain a list of work priorities and appropriately schedule people/resources to ensure on-time completion while providing guidance to technicians and mechanics
• Communicate both verbally and through written reports
  
  

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Engineering with 7 years work experience in an engineering field
• Knowledge/skill in automotive, industrial equipment, materials handling, agricultural or similar vehicle technologies
• Highly motivated with solid leadership skills and ability to work with limited supervision
• Desire for ‘hands on’ work in a shop environment a must and ability to operate lift trucks
• Excels in innovative thinking, troubleshooting, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and product requirement documents
  
  

Preferred

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Experience with Data acquisition systems such as SOMAT EDAQ, Vector CANalyzer, CSM
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Experience in a product development environment
• Experience with Project Management and Schedules
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow
• Experience with utilizing Python to automate workflows
