Roofing Installer

Hytech Home, a Bay Shore, New York-based company, is seeking ambitious, organized, and detail-oriented candidates for a full-time Roofing Installer position. This role is year-round with plenty of opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Roofing Installation Professional
Roofing Installers work in a team environment to complete residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring high-quality installations. They are responsible for meeting safety standards, delivering excellent craftsmanship, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Work with crew members to complete roofing projects according to company standards and procedures.
• Read and comprehend building plans and roofing specifications.
• Install roofing systems, including shingles, metal panels, membrane roofing, and roof underlayment.
• Ensure roof penetrations are properly sealed to prevent leaks.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and safety at all times.
• General construction work, including measuring, cutting, assembling materials, and using hand tools.
• Inspect completed work to ensure durability and compliance with local building codes.

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or roofing experience required.
• Knowledge of various roofing systems (shingle, metal, membrane) is a plus.
• General construction knowledge, including carpentry and framing skills.
• Ladder and scaffolding experience required.
• Must have flexible hours and be able to travel to job sites.
• Working knowledge of the Uniform Building Code (UBC) and local regulations.
• Experience complying with OSHA safety requirements and regulations.
• Must have a valid OSHA 30 card issued within the last 5 years.
• Professional appearance, excellent customer service skills, and punctuality are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems on-site.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality.
• Must pass a drug test and have a clean DMV record.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Basic hand tools required: Drill, impact gun, socket set, rubber mallet, screwdrivers, pry bar, wire crimps, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Full range of mobility in the upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights and on various roof types.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
