RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repairs and calibrate tools, pumps and equipment requiring mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services.
- Pretesting of hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools and links for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function.
- The job involves trouble-shooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and testing pumps, motors and tools in shop.
- Works with sales and service team members, and customers to meet the growing day to day repair requirements, ensuring needed tools are ready on time.
- Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
- Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
- Manage check-in/check-out process for in-house rental inventory and customer repair tools
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and successfully repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload.
- Must be able to use basic tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.
- Must be a dependable team player with high energy and a strong commitment to quality output.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to routinely lift 25-75 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
