We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and play a key role in supporting HR operations and talent acquisition efforts. In this position, you’ll manage the full FMLA process, facilitate recruitment, address employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Working closely with HR leadership, hiring managers, and employees, you’ll help build a productive and positive workplace environment while contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities
Provide daily support to employees by answering questions, addressing concerns, and managing HR-related matters
Lead and manage the entire FMLA process, including preparing documentation, tracking attendance, and ensuring compliance
Facilitate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and guiding hiring managers through the selection process
Conduct new hire orientations, including benefits enrollment and onboarding documentation (e.g., I-9 verification)
Oversee background check processes and ensure timely completion for candidates
Collaborate with managers and HR staff during the offer process and assist with internal job bidding
Maintain accurate candidate and employee records using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR software
Respond to unemployment claims and ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies
Support termination processes by preparing documentation and coordinating communications
Represent the company at college and community job fairs to attract top talent.
Assist with HR projects, events, and initiatives to enhance company culture and operational efficiency
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a fast-paced or manufacturing environment
Proven ability to manage the full FMLA process with attention to detail and compliance
Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency with HR systems, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and employee records management tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience representing an organization at recruiting events and job fairs is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
