We are currently seeking a 1st shift Operations Supervisor in our electrical production area at our Jonesboro location. You will be responsible for facilitating the daily operation of the electrical production area, supporting safety, quality, housekeeping, delivery (flow), productivity, and efficiency, while emphasizing continuous improvement. You will do this through detailed data collection and analysis, with a strong focus on fostering employee relations and supporting specialized electrical production processes.
Responsibilities
Promote safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, efficiency, and Power Lean across all phases of electrical panel and controls production, using real-time data to support decision-making
Collect, track, and analyze key performance metrics (such as panels completed vs. planned, first-pass yield, and labor hours per panel) to drive improvements in output and quality
Communicate production requirements, workflow updates, and backlog status with other Focus Factory Facilitators, emphasizing electrical department needs and project timelines
Monitor electrical inventory levels, component shortages, BOM accuracy, and manpower utilization based on area demands and trends gathered through data tracking
Seek input from team members on control panel assembly, wiring, and testing procedures. Use root cause analysis and collaborative efforts—supported by data—to implement sustainable improvements and build a culture of continuous learning
Communicate clear, data-driven production expectations to the electrical team, ensuring everyone understands priorities, changes, and performance goals
Provide guidance and job assignments based on skill sets, production demand, and data insights to maximize team efficiency and ensure schedule adherence
Enforce company policies and safety standards specific to electrical work (e.g., proper PPE usage, lockout/tagout procedures, wiring safety, tool control). Ensure all equipment is compliant, guarded, and in optimal working condition
Maintain and review inspection records, panel quality audits, and safety checks to identify trends or risks within the electrical department
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned, with a continuous focus on supporting electrical process improvements and aligning with company goals
Qualifications
Proven record of leading and supervising a team in a production environment
Must be able to execute each essential duty effectively, including a strong understanding of electrical production workflows, quality and safety standards, and the ability to analyze data to drive decisions
Electrical knowledge such as wiring, reading schematics, and familiarity with UL standards is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for tracking workload, production metrics, and inventory data
The ability to create clear and effective presentations using PowerPoint to communicate workload trends, performance updates, and improvement plans to leadership and cross-functional teams is also required
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus two years of specialized training or experience.
