Kia Design Center America located in California is currently looking for a [ Senior User Experience Designer ] that will : Create high-quality, user experience concepts for conceptual visions as well as production designsStrong ability to visually communicate design proposals in form of Storytelling and contextual DesignCreate UX concepts through wire framing and story boardingHave an excellent understanding of the status quo of User experience in the Automotive Industry, in the smart phone industry and other relevant industries that share boundaries with the automotive environment and are leading the digital user experience processExperience in prototyping conceptsHave a scrappy and entrepreneurial approach to prototyping concepts and proposalsPerform user testing on prototyped conceptsDemonstrate the ability to lead design projects from start to finish, under time management and resource constraintsResearch and analyze trends in the UX design worldTravel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationallyBe able to attend auto shows and other design-related eventsWillingness to travel international, primarily to South KoreaBe able to work self-sufficiently, while mentoring less experienced designersOversee the development of user Experience projects and proceed to streamline work flowsWork closely with Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Design Team to discuss design criteria. Incorporate the criteria to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements.Produce presentation-ready materials to support design reviewsProject Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and constantly pushing for improving delivery standardsDrive discussions around technical solutions, with the goal to improve our capabilities and overcome limitationsBasic Qualifications : BS, BFA, MS, MFA or Diploma in Graphic Design, Human-computer interaction, Computer science or DesignMinimum 8 years of professional design experience at an Automotive, Software or digital products companyStrong ability to utilize various types of digital tools (Figma, Sketch, Framer, Adobe XD, Miro board or comparable software tools)Prototyping and user testingExperience with advanced technology components (screens, input devices and modalities)Experience in App development is a plusValid Driver's License and satisfactory driving recordCandidates applying for positions with Hyundai Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
