What to Expect
The Sr. Manager, Commercial Portfolio Application Architect is an expert in system architecture, designing and developing Digital Solutions involving multiple systems to run end-to-end business operations. This position leverages their subject matter expertise, technology trends and innovation, to inspire the organization and establish technology strategy and road map.
The architect will collaborate with various stakeholders, coordinate plans and lead activities related to application architecture/integration on all IT project initiatives related to Commercial Portfolio Systems.
What You Will Do
1. Design and Develop Digital Solutions:
- Lead and pioneer new technologies to meet business growth
- Promote consistency and reuse of services across different channels of engagement.
- Support Development team in reviewing architecture and design.
- Produce and evaluate functional design requirements.
- Maintain End-to-end System application architecture for assigned applications.
- Develop / code as needed.
2. Technology Vision and Strategy:
- Contribute to defining technology vision and strategy.
- Review and propose business processes to improve customer, dealer, and agent experience.
- Produce and maintain reference architecture for portfolio of digital experience solutions.
- Establish design guidelines and best practices (design strategies) to be used across ecosystem.
- Establish and maintain a digital information architecture that is well organized, user friendly, and presents a consistent look and feel.
3. Enterprise Architecture:
- Collaborate with Architects across the enterprise to define technology standards.
- Participate in Architecture review board meetings and provide feedback on the solutions presented.
4. Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 8 years progressive related experience in the Finance Industry, or Captive Automotive Finance industry.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience..
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Very strong knowledge of application architecture, approaches, techniques, and technologies
- Strong passion and hands-on technical experience with the ability to produce proof of concept service designs and/or drive solution implementation.
- Expert knowledge in application development, including all modern technologies (Web, Mobile, Voice, Chat, AI/ML, Cloud)
- Proven expertise with Agile & DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines, Test Automation and Containers).
- Strong skills in Programming languages and Database.
- Takes initiative to understand the business processes and proposes solutions that drive end-to-end digitization.
- Big picture thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills; Able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical peers and management staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills, be able to build consensus and work closely with other staff members and Stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced agile environment with multiple priorities and minimal guidance.
- Ability to proactively identify potential issues and provide recommended solutions.
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
