As the subject matter expert, the Sr. Quality System Engineer is responsible for every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards. This role will help define the end-to-end testing requirements and automated testing implementations, translate product and technology requirements into testing specifications including regression-testing specifications. In addition, this role will be responsible to support product-level quality processes, drive operation excellence improvements and best-in-class product development practices.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.

This role will help define the end-to-end testing requirements and automated testing implementations, translate product and technology requirements into testing specifications including regression-testing specifications. In addition, this role will be responsible to support product-level quality processes, drive operation excellence improvements and best-in-class product development practices.
What You Will Do
- Testing:
- Regularly monitor testing progress.
- Manage, plan and review technical guidance on the automation scripts for regression, performance and functional testing.
- Review functional and technical documentation in order to identify requirements for the creation of test plans, test cases and test script.
- Perform hands on system testing for key areas.
- Leverage and manage testing automation by identifying and executing test cases that can be automated.
- Quality System Process:
- Create, implement, maintain and enhance test delivery and management of test resources, pipeline, status reporting, test plans, cases, results, and post-implementation reviews.
- Implement quality metrics and measurements, ensure that practices are followed consistently across the organization.
- Develop, implement, and enforce Quality Assurance documentation that support audit requirements.
- Drive new quality improvements/initiatives by supporting product-level quality processes.
- Software Quality Assurance
- Track and measure our software quality from Development Engineering perspectives and report development defect trends to IT development teams.
- Drive and measure effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives with IT development teams.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the Quality Engineering & Testing organization including planning, vendor resource oversight and performance monitoring.
- Quality Engineering Solutions:
- Work collaboratively with application and business teams to set the direction, vision and strategy for quality assurance processes.
- Maintain awareness of current automation solution offerings for quality assurance process in the IT industry.
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in software quality assurance.
- Experience in test automation development, programming, shell scripting, quality assurance, test execution, and test tools.
- Experience working with shared services vendor with presence in offshore locations
- Bachelor degree in related discipline such as computer science or computer engineering.
- One or more professional certificates to supplement formal education a plus.
- Strong grasp of database systems concepts.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills,
- Familiarity with multiple development methodologies including waterfall and Agile/Scrum or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Strong skills with the Microsoft Office product suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other development teams and management.
