- Responsible for overseeing FIFO material management.
- Oversees all dock activity, to include live load and unloading, and dropped shipments.
- Assist with the management of returnable dunnage.
- Assist in ensuring all inventory hold locations are properly allocated, and visually identified.
- Oversees plant below minimum alert process.
- Other duties as assigned by Material Manager
- Responsible for shop floor continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
- 2 years of experience in Just in time management field in Automotive industry
- Experienced in automotive logistics field
- Ability to perform process improvements, learn new techniques and update procedures.
- Familiar with part sequencing, kiting, bar coding and importance of safe material handling principles.
- Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Above average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of SAP or PAB process is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, word, power point and excel.
