Position Summary

Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as necessary. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by employing 5S principles.

- Monitor, inspect, and report on the quality of products, repairs, workmanship, proper labeling, allocation, and staging of parts received from suppliers and manufactured internally.
- Perform QC tests on products in various stages of completion and perform minor repairs according to established procedures.
- Maintain good quality processes and 5-S standards within the QC Department
- Review all analysis reports with the supervisor and produce reports as necessary.
- Enter all data into the laboratory reporting system (QMS).
- Attend all training and train QC personnel as requested
- The position requires the ability to work overtime over 40 hours per week.
- The position may require job rotation between different positions and shifts.
- Monitor and maintain QC equipment and tools, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Comply with and promote company practices in the areas of safety, human relations, quality, cost, housekeeping, and delivery targets for the area.

Required Education & Experience

- 2-year technical degree
- 2 or more years of experience in a Quality Control lab within a high-capacity manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of 8D, 5 Why, and Six Sigma
- 1-3 years of automotive experience
