Coil Conveyance Operator

Position summary: The Coil Conveyance Team Member is an integral part production department. Coil Conveyance Team Members operate manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. The various types of manufacturing equipment operated can include: hand held equipment and tools, specialized manufacturing machines and equipment, powered industrial equipment including forklifts, and hand held measuring devices and equipment. Team Members are responsible for working in a team oriented work environment following company policies and procedures as well as supporting and upholding company safety and quality goals.

General purpose: Coil Conveyance Team Members, participate in the movement of goods and services to meet internal and external customer needs.

Role qualifications:

· Minimum High School Diploma or GED

· 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

· Ability to meet customer demand in a timely manner

Position Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of Basic Computer Applications

· Knowledge of Urgency of Production Demands

· Knowledge of Basic Inventory Procedures

· Knowledge of Basic Math Operations

· Knowledge of Basic Hand Tool Operations

· Knowledge of Basic Overhead Crane Operations (preferred)

· Knowledge of Basic Forklift Operations (preferred)

· Strong Attention to Detail

· Strong Communication Skills- verbal and written

· Strong Documentation Skills

· Strong Problem Solving Skills

· Ability to Organize, Prioritize and Complete Diverse Tasks

· Ability to Work Independently with Limited Guidance

· Ability to Work Well With All Levels of Team Members

· Ability to Read Calipers, Micrometers and Tape Measures

· Ability to Access All Areas of the Plant Including Upper Levels (involving stairways)

· Ability to walk extensively- Approximately 2 - 4 miles intermittently throughout an Eight (8) to Twelve (12) Hour Period

· Ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds non-continuously throughout an Eight (8) to Twelve (12) Hour Period

· Ability and willingness to rotate to other assignments as directed

· Physical demands: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires pushing, pulling, bending, stooping up, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment. Ability to use motorized equipment.

· Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25 - $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
