General Position Summary
The Forklift Operator / Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials within the facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that materials are moved to the appropriate locations to support production and warehouse operations. The incumbent will also assist with inventory management, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards.
Job Duties:
· Efficiently stack and store the merchandise using FIFO in the appropriate areas
· Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
· Report quality variance.
· Efficiently move products from Production and/or storage areas into appropriate areas
· Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
· Daily, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment
· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
· Listen to directions from supervisors
· Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
· Operates handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
· Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with company and training guidelines
· Replenishes stock and prepares items for the production floor as required to maintain efficient workflow.
· Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, including disposing of trash, emptying recyclable banding containers, discarding unusable pallets, and transporting cardboard bales to designated areas.
· Utilizes scanning equipment to track materials to and from the production floor, following the component list to identify and locate necessary materials.
· Verifies pallet IDs in designated areas to ensure accurate inventory management when discrepancies arise.
· Transfers materials between locations as necessary to fulfill production demands.
· Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience Requirements
· Previous experience operating forklifts or other industrial equipment is required (1-3 years preferred)
o Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
Other Requirements
· Must be authorized to work in the United States or have the ability to obtain authorization.
· Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
· Must pass a physical exam.

· Material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, semi-electric stackers, banding equipment, carts, etc.
· Electric baler
· Safety cutter (box cutters and knives are not permitted)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
