KEY PURPOSE:
Possible is looking for a Key Account Director to join our team and drive
sponsorship sales. This is a 100% strategic account development role - we are looking for someone who is an innate relationship builder with a ‘hunter’ mentality and who enjoys acquiring first-time sponsors and exhibitors, securing upsells and cross-sells with a curated book of
business. You will be comfortable with account mapping, finding new stake holders in
the organization, building strategic business cases for growth, and has a deep understanding of client’s objectives and pain points, developing multi-show, multi-year propositions to generate significant revenue.
If you have 8 years sales’ experience with a good understanding of the marketing industry and it´s players and would like to be part of the new must-attend event that is shaping the future of marketing, we’d love to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
- Manage a book of new and existing Key Accounts of large tech and solution providers, agencies, brands and establish, nurture, and expand these valuable relationships through acquisition, upsell and cross sell opportunities for long-term growth
- Research and pursue new business opportunities and identify and create connections with influencers, executives, and decision-makers
- Proficient in strategic planning, financial analysis, and solution selling.
- Communicate with customers and their decision-makers effectively and persuasively to uncover company-viable solutions from their view.
- Act as a true account director overseeing almost all aspects of the client's
- business
- Build strong executive relationships across multiple fields (CIO, CMO, CEO).
- Utilize our CRM to track and report account activity accurately and in a timely manner
- Be obsessive about customer experience from prospect through event execution
- Work collaboratively with the VP Sales & Partnerships as well as other sales and team members across departments
- Stay informed on industry trends and engage with the larger retail tech Industry
- Build and extend your existing industry network to a new and very personal level which provides a unique competitor advantage
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have 8 years of consultative sales experience in events, marketing, digital media
- 5 years in strategic account development
- Enterprise level sales experience in the Consulting agency business, Creator Economy, Brand and Tech space
- Experience selling client centric sponsorships and partnerships
- reaching monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets and ensuring all KPI’s are achieved. Including but not limited to call stats, meetings and pipeline newness
- Know-how and passion for nurturing cross functional relationships and developing new business via account mapping
- Experience working within a CRM managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales revenue
- Agile and ability to multi-task - everyday is not the same and have the ability to pivot and prioritize different projects
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- The salary band for this position ranges from $125,000 - $135,00 based on experience
- This position will be eligible for a competitive commission structure
