Responsibilities
- Accurately post payment information to patient accounts and maintain detailed records
- Reconcile payments and account balances, identifying and rectifying discrepancies
- Collaborate with the billing department to resolve issues and improve processes
- Prepare and generate reports for management to track payment trends
- Respond to inquiries regarding payment posting and account status
- Experience in medical billing or payment posting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes is a plus
