The Process Engineers play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the production of an operation's workflow processes. They work closely with production managers to determine current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.
Process Engineers are responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to guarantee compliance with regulations. They design and test process upgrades and new systems to meet quality standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production managers to analyze and improve workflows
- Develop and implement process upgrades and new systems to meet quality standards and regulations
- Review and maintain safety and quality standards
- Communicate updates to Product Managers through Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) and process documents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or process engineering or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Three or more years of experience in inline operator assembly operations
- Experience with electrical server or computer manufacturing and assembly methods
- Working knowledge of one-piece flow assembly processes
- Lean manufacturing understanding with training and introduction experience
- Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems
- Effective time management and delegation skills
- Debugging and root cause analysis skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies
- Prior knowledge of ticket tracking systems and PLM systems
