Two main functions of this role are oversight of projects from conception to completion and project intake/business development. This role leads a team of producers, editors, and motion designers, collaborating to create the scope of work and holds responsibility for the bottom line, ensuring that production stays on time and budget. The DVP works in lockstep with in-house agency teams and maintains and builds relationships with external creative partners. The DVP is expected to be skilled in: creative vision and match making technical know-how, presenting and pitching and memorable client-facing etiquette.
*Responsibilities

- Leads a portfolio of award-winning integrated multimedia (audio/video/animation) content for clients (brand, manifesto, narrative, web series, social media, product, corporate etc), internal company announcement videos, new business pitch videos, audio oversight and more.
- Responsible for team resource planning, recruiting and hiring based on existing work and future pipeline.
- Manages and mentors the department to execute to a high creative standard. Creates a safe space for teammates to grow and learn in their role.
- Ensures safety protocol is top of mind on all productions.
- Facilitates relationships with key players at other BCW and WPP network locations.
- Shares and evolves departmental capabilities.
- Has an existing national vendor network that is constantly growing and evolving.
- Familiar with union protocol.
- Assists team in troubleshooting complex production situations.
- Plays a role in pitching new offerings within production.
- Assures team utilization is manageable and makes pivots or cases for changes, as needed..
- Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables
- Collaborate closely with GADs, Creative team, and clients to help facilitate solution-oriented content creation
- Oversees team production coordination (pre-production, production, post-production) activity, as well as produces larger productions and assists with physical production, as needed.
- Oversees video library and departmental specific project management software.
- Quickly responds to new business leads/requests, existing client requests and actively pitches HZ Productions direct to brand.
- Works closely with the Account team to manage and advocate for the best interests of the client's marketing dollars

- Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, advertising, or related field
- 10 years of professional experience in video production; 4 years in a management position
- Diverse portfolio of video executions for top-tier brands
- Strong communicator across all channels
- Experience negotiating crew and vendor rates, terms and conditions
- Familiarity with all business categories
- Strong client and new business experience, track record
- Technical skills in video, audio and post-production
- Familiarity with all phases of production (video, still and animation) and the various components.
- Written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and an aptitude for making quick, quality decisions. Remaining calm under pressure, a sense of humor and dependability.
- Ability to work in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides); knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Hightail, Invision, Asana, Adobe Creative Suite desirable. Familiar with Adobe Premiere, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Houdini and other relevant post-production software.
