I-2-I Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead and manage defense logistics and supply operations, primarily focused on Aircraft Carriers undergoing Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH), Decommissioned CVN ships (DECOM), planned general overhaul support, and unplanned ship deployments. The position is based at Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, VA, and Newport News Shipbuilding Shipyard, Newport News, VA.
The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing onsite teams and ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of all logistics activities, including inventory management, financial oversight, and warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of naval logistics, aviation support, and shipboard supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all aviation logistics support for the Logistics Readiness Support Group.
- Represent I-2-I Solutions in meetings with customers, stakeholders, and planning groups.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and security protocols while providing program training related to carrier supply logistics.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of customer requirements to optimize logistics support operations.
- Coordinate material movement between warehouses and CVNs.
- Assess program performance, establish key milestones, and manage project schedules.
- Develop cost estimates for planned and unplanned ship deployments, including material on load, receipt, stow, inventory, and offload processes.
- Prepare comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to include:
- Forecasting personnel requirements and budgeting for ship deployment logistics.
- Establishing shore-based mock-ups of shipboard storage locations for various naval inventory lists (AVCAL, COSAL, QCOSAL, DBI, SRI, etc.).
- Supervising the unloading, receiving, and stowing of offloaded materials while ensuring compliance with quality assurance audits and inventory processes.
- Identifying and analyzing redistributable assets and ensuring proper database documentation.
- Coordinating, executing, and monitoring material on load (backfit) operations.
- Performing logistics support functions to maintain optimal supply chain operations for CVNs undergoing overhaul, availability, or decommissioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline, or graduation from the Supply Corps Officer School (Newport, RI).
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Navy logistics, particularly during CVN Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH), extended overhauls, restricted availability, and decommissioning periods.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Navy logistics and Logistics AIS Management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Business/Data Analysis, U.S. Navy subject matter expertise, Logistics Warehouse Operations Management, Organizational Design and Management, and Business Process Improvement.
- Strong understanding of military and civilian command structures, mission programs, and organizational relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of Navy Aviation logistics and Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Navy operations.
