What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at I-2-I Solutions, Inc.?
I-2-I Solutions has a need for personnel with expertise in project management to provide support for the Wildfire Prevention Grant in the amount of $3.9 million dollars Collection Agreement with Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC). The grant funding supports fuel reduction projects, invasive weed removal and purchase of equipment. This effort will support the Southern California Priority Landscape and make an investment of fuels projects for the Wildfire Crisis Strategy. For timely reporting of expenditure of funds to RMC and coordination of our partners to work on projects, is in part dependent of a qualified professional project manager with experience in management of National Forest System lands.
Project Description:
The Program Manager (PM) will be required to provide the services as described below in a collaborative, professional and responsive manner.
Task 1 – Project Management:
- Collaborate with project POC’s on the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and the Los Angeles Gateway Ranger District to obtain information and ensure timelines are being met for completion of projects.
o Fuels Projects
- Tanbark Fuelbreak Maintenance
- Chilao Hazard Fuels Reduction
- Charlton Fuels Reduction Project
- Tanbark Admin Site and Fuelbreak Invasive Weed Treatment
o Maintain stakeholder coordination and communication with the Tanbark Invasive Weed Treatment Project.
- Set mileposts for invasive weed projects and ensure timelines are met.
o Obtain status checks as needed for all Fuels Projects.
o Inform POC in headquarters of project timelines that need to be adjusted.
- Maintain an RMC folder with project information as needed.
Task 2 – Project Reporting:
- A big part of this workload is centered around making sure we are meeting reporting requirements for Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC). The project manager would need to facilitate and coordinate discussions with the POC’s to obtain the information needed for the reporting requirements.
o Determine progress against program objectives.
- Evaluate project performance in regard to cost.
o Reports include Exhibit P – Progress Report and Exhibit Q – Expenditure Projection Report. Write a narrative (paragraph) describing the summary of activities for the previous reporting period.
- Monitoring and Reporting will include expenditures of chippers, convection oven and water buffalo.
o Write a description of activities and accomplishments of each task shall be in sufficient detail to provide a basis for payment of invoices and shall be translated into percent of task work completed for the purpose of calculating invoice amounts. This would include activities undertaken and accomplishments of each task during the quarter, milestones achieved, and any problems encountered in the performance of the work under the Agreement.
o Ensure reports meet quarterly deadlines.
o Maintain folder of reports and narrative summary’s.
