Substitute Residential Staff – Personal Care – Caregiver
Wanted: Flexible, reliable, compassionate substitute staff for two small Personal Care Homes located in Indiana, PA.
$14.50 per hour – shifts are on an as-needed basis. Most frequently, substitutes are needed weekends, overnights, and holidays. Plenty of opportunity to advance in our agency – most of our full-time staff were promoted in-house! (Full-time workers receive a great benefits package!) Our agency specifically deals with adults who have mental health issues. You will receive on-going training in mental health topics so no specific knowledge is required to apply.
All our residents are independently mobile and complete their own ADL’s, so there is no lifting or showering! Our residents are functional members of the community who are generally working towards independent living.
Your job duties include transporting residents to appointments, medication administration (training provided), light housekeeping, and cooking meals. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in a similar field (home care mental health, or PCH experience preferred). Six months experience preferred but other applicants will be considered. A pre-employment physical and Act 34 clearance is required at employee’s cost.
