Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Assistant Director of Operations to join our team. This role is a 30-hour-per-week position integral to the smooth functioning of daily procedures and involves travel to school districts in and around Houston. The Assistant Director will work closely with the CEO, team members, and clients to ensure efficient operations, uphold departmental policies, and maintain positive relationships.
Duties
- Coach Management: Conduct performance reviews, monitor attendance, and ensure substitute coverage for absences.
- Scheduling: Create and manage schedules, updating coaches promptly.
- Client Relationships: Communicate with campus coordinators, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Workshops: Lead presentations and training sessions related to operational needs.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular visits to ensure needs are met and complete checklists for documentation.
- Metrics: Compile and analyze data on demographics, student numbers, and campus information.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with administrative staff, attend meetings, and deliver feedback.
- Reports: Prepare weekly agendas and check-in reports.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in brief CEO check-ins and team meetings for planning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations or team management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel daily to various school districts in Houston and the surrounding area.
- Coaching experience or knowledge of sports, including but not limited to pickleball, dance, cheer, and volleyball.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and handle unexpected situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in clerical tasks, such as scheduling and reporting.
- Proficiency in relevant Google software tools (e.g., Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs).
- Comfortable with public interactions and maintaining a positive client relationship.
- Must be adaptable and capable of implementing new procedures or responding to operational changes.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay of $22–$24, based on experience.
