Summary/Objective
The Driver safely transports the people we serve to and from their destinations and ensures the vehicles are in good working order before and after use.
Essential Functions

Transport sensitive materials to and from designated locations.
Transport individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to and from designated locations.
Route planning to meet customer demands.
Scheduling activity cycles.
Pick up and drop off materials at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules.
Follow pre-planned routes to ensure efficiency of travel.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs to the fleet manager immediately.
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order following checklist before and after use.
Keep vehicle interiors clean.
Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures.
Using computer tracking and logging functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age; High School Diploma or equivalent; must be able to
communicate in English, including both spoken and in writing.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and proof of auto insurance; Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant; delegated nursing (training will be provided, if not already certified).
Experience
One to three years proven experience in transportation or driving large vehicles.
