Summary/Objective:
Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, this center-based speech-language pathologist will provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for consumers who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, aac and fluency. These services are designed to help consumers meet their specific goals.
Essential Functions

• With assistance from the Speech and Language Pathology Manager, organizes a program that addresses local school speech-language goals.
• Uses evidence-based methods and techniques appropriate to stated objectives.
• Uses a variety of equipment, materials, devices and aids.
• Uses systematic and evidence-based intervention strategies to foster communicative competence.
• Provides feedback and reinforcement to consumers.
• Administers formal and informal assessments
• Adjusts intervention strategies based upon consumer performance.
• Uses systematic procedures for review of consumer progress.
• Changes activities on basis of consumer progress.
• Adheres to all local, state, federal regulations and ethical practices
• Works cooperatively with school personnel to accomplish the goals/objectives of the local education agency.
• Collaborates constantly with center staff, such as Program Managers, Clinic Directors, Psychiatrist and Psychologists, to best meet the needs of all consumers.
• At the direction of the Speech-Language Pathology Manager, attend IEP meetings.
• Collects data for program planning and decision making for consumers.
• Modifies therapeutic instructional approaches and other functions from data gathered during therapy.
• Submits reports which meet local and state requirements.
• Implements the service delivery model most appropriate to the consumer.
• Provides activities commensurate with students’ interests and aptitudes.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
• Masters in Speech-language pathology with at least 1 year experience (will consider a strong CF candidate)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (if no longer a CF)
• State of Ohio License in Speech-Language Pathology
