About us
I Am My Brother's Keeper (IAMBK) is a nonprofit organization that provides an afterschool program for youth that enables them to become self-supportive and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities. The afterschool program is held in Auburn, Al Mondays - Thursdays, from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm until the end of April.
We are looking for bus drivers to help transport students from Auburn city schools to a local recreation center. Successful candidates for this position should have good driving records, clear criminal background checks, good rapport and abilities to manage large groups of youth. Successful drivers will ensure the safety of students at all times and communicate well with program staff, partners, and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up students from various schools (4 days a week) and transport them to the program
- Maintain order and safety among students while they are on and near the bus
- Safely deliver students to appropriate program staff and caregivers
- Maintain good driving record and complete all required job trainings
- Complete daily transportation checklist to ensure vehicles are clean and remain in good operating condition
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Weekends as needed
