Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
- Support patients with personal hygiene, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members about patient needs and care plans.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Engage patients in recreational and therapeutic activities to promote well-being.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of illness.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
- Report any concerns or observations regarding patients’ health to nursing staff.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
- Assist with feeding patients who are unable to do so themselves.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification required.
- Experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift and move patients safely.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures in healthcare.
- Good observational skills to notice changes in patients’ conditions.
- Commitment to continuing education and training in healthcare.
