Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
• Support patients with personal hygiene, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Document patient care activities and any changes in patient condition.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members about patient needs and care plans.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Engage patients in recreational and therapeutic activities to promote well-being.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of illness.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
• Report any concerns or observations regarding patients’ health to nursing staff.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
• Assist with feeding patients who are unable to do so themselves.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification required.
• Experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift and move patients safely.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures in healthcare.
• Good observational skills to notice changes in patients’ conditions.
• Commitment to continuing education and training in healthcare.
