What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Junior Commercial Estimator to join our Decatur, AL team. The candidate will be responsible for estimating project costs and preparing competitive bids. Additionally, the Junior Commercial Estimator will be responsible for managing commercial electrical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
The Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of commercial electrical construction projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bids for commercial projects.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure a successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders through the project lifecycle.
The Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of project management and estimation experience in a commercial electrical setting.
- 2-5 years of experience working in the electrical trade.
- An understanding of all phases of electrical construction and the National Electric Code and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Proven experience with managing and leading teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Information
We are hiring for a full time position, working day shift from 6:30-3:00. Time will be split between the job site and our offices. Salary/hourly wages are based on experience.
