What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Low-Voltage Technician in the Lexington, KY area. The Low-Voltage Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various low-voltage/voice & data systems, in addition to terminating cat5, cat6 and fiber optic cable. We seek self-motivated technicians who are attentive to detail who want to learn and grow within the low-voltage trade. If this is you, apply today!
The Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various low voltage/voice & data systems.
- Identifying, pulling, labeling, terminating and testing category (cat5e, cat6) and fiber optic cable.
- Install various types of pathway support structures (J-hooks, cable tray, support rings)
- Able to read schematics and identify cable pathways.
- Coordinate with project manager and keep open line of communication on progress of project via daily logs, emails, phone calls, etc.
- Safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above 25 feet.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors, Inc.
The Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Low-Voltage Technician or similar field.
- Experience with operating different types of manlifts.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
