Job Title: Technology Fellow
Compensation: $55,000 annual stipend, paid in bi-weekly disbursements.

About the Role:
As a Technology Fellow, you’ll play a critical role in helping our interns develop real-world technical skills while supporting the success of their team-based project work.
This is a full-time 1099 independent contractor role reporting to the Technology Trainer and collaborating closely with the Program Manager and Recruitment Team.
The ideal candidate is resilient, growth-minded, and energized by mentorship and problem-solving. This role is exclusively open to i.c.stars program graduates and includes access to subsidized professional development opportunities (e.g., CompTIA certification courses and exams), exposure to project-based learning, and hands-on experience with instructional best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Cycle Support & Instruction

Assist with facilitation of technical workshops and project support across multiple cohorts

Support interns during Geek Week, including tracking progress and providing technical assistance

Support interns in debugging and building solutions in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages or frameworks based on cycle needs

Provide support using tools such as GitHub, VS Code, NPM, MS Planner, MS Teams, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and other relevant platforms and tools introduced during the cycle
Program & Recruitment Collaboration

Attend office hours and off-site activities with interns as needed

Attend panel interviews and assist with the scoring of assessments and essays as it relates to the recruitment process as scheduling permits

Other duties as assigned in support of program needs
Qualifications:

Strong interest in technology instruction and mentoring early-career technologists

Experience with web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL (additional languages a plus)

Ability to work independently and collaboratively; manage tasks and take initiative

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Comfort engaging with employer partners about project specs and deliverables
Time Commitment:
Working hours may be irregular with some evening availability (up to 8:00 PM) required to support nighttime workshops and events. Most instruction is delivered in-person, some virtual sessions are also held.
