Description
Work with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
Learn building codes and design practices.
Lay out equipment in spaces to meet project needs (lighting, fire alarm, receptacles etc.)
Do photometrics and work with the software for preliminary lighting layouts.
Work with mechanical engineers to pick up power for their equipment.
Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Operate engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program.
Qualifications
Associates degree in relevant design program (CAD, Architectural Design, BIM, etc.) or equal relevant experience.
Experience with Revit preferred.
