Job Summary: The Part-Time IT Support Associate will work in a collaborative Agile team environment, gaining hands-on experience in software development, quality assurance, and Salesforce administration. This role involves designing, developing, and testing software solutions, primarily on the Salesforce platform. The associate will assist with coding, debugging, testing, system reliability, and basic Salesforce administration tasks to support business processes.
Duration: June 3 – August 22, 2025 (12 weeks)
Location: Onsite at our Hoffman Estates, IL, or Appleton, WI locations (Remote option available after 90 days)
Hours: 30 hours/week (M–TH, 7.5 hours/day)
Potential: Continued part-time work during the school year consideration for full-time employment upon graduation
Responsibilities:
Testing Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases, ensuring software meets business requirements and user expectations.
- Perform manual and automated testing for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Document and track defects, working with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to validate fixes and enhancements before deployment.
- Ensure test coverage for key functionalities, leveraging test management tools.
Salesforce Administration Responsibilities:
- Assist with user management, including creating and deactivating users, assigning roles, and managing permissions.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of Salesforce, including creating reports, dashboards, workflows, and validation rules.
- Help maintain data integrity by performing data imports, deduplication, and cleanup tasks.
- Troubleshoot basic Salesforce issues and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Document configurations, processes, and best practices for Salesforce administration tasks.
Development Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions, including custom functionality and integrations with third-party applications.
- Customize Salesforce features using Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, Validation Rules, and Approval Rules.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code while following best practices.
- Debug, refactor, and enhance existing code to improve system performance and reliability.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Pursuing Associates or Bachelor's Degree in IT, business management or another related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning, SOQL, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with software testing principles and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other Agile tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitHub and version control practice preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
