Architectural Millwork/Cabinet Estimator
Job Requirements:
. Must have working experience in commercial architectural estimating/bidding for cabinets and countertops (minimum 3 years)
. Must have institutional bid takeoff, proposal preparation, drafting and approving submittals experience (minimum 3 years)
. Must have field experience in measuring, installation and troubleshooting (minimum 3 years)
. Working experience with AutoCAD a plus (minimum 3 years)
. Must have working knowledge of reading architectural blueprints, GC's, legal contracts.
. Excellent calculation of millwork/cabinet estimates, and manufacturing knowledge
. Strongly focused, well-organized, and team-oriented personality in a fast-paced environment (in-person)
. Exceptional communication, sales and people skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Job Responsibilities:
. Responsible for bid takeoff, incoming RFPs, RFQs via all sources. Highly motivated to bring in new projects and clients.
. Effectively at budgeting, managing and meeting strict deadlines with multiple requests, submittals and projects at any given time.
. Field tasks include measurements, taking photos, meeting with counterparties, troubleshooting and walkthroughs.
. Diligently working with Senior management and team leaders on a complete project cycle.
. Collaborating and building excellent relationships with partners, vendors, and contractors
. Learning and gaining industry knowledge of new materials, trends, suppliers, and laws
. Continuing education & qualification of Certified Millwork Professional (CMP) and other professional credentials, license(s)
This position requires a strong background in construction estimating, including experience with various types of projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting construction projects while utilizing their skills in cost estimation, project management, and contract negotiation.
