Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and skilled Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient vehicle. Experience in shuttle driving, paratransit services, or other driving roles is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while providing excellent customer service to all passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, ensuring their safety throughout the journey.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in shuttle driving, paratransit services, bus driving, limousine services, school bus driving, or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with passengers and team members.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
- Must be able to pass drug screen, criminal and motor vehicle background checks as required by company policy.
- A commitment to punctuality and reliability in attendance is essential.
