Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Utility Superintendent to join our growing team. The Utility Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of utility construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of utility construction, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mange utility construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and mange budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members.
- Train and mentor crew leaders and team members to enhance performance and productivity.
- Inspect work to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain project timelines and expectations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in utility construction, with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of utility installation and maintenance processes.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and team management abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
