What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at I K I MANUFACTURING?
Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operation, troubleshooting, change over, and cleanliness of production assets. The Machine Operator reports to the Production Line Supervisor and works closely with the Line Operator on changeover strategy.
1st Shift M-F 5:30am-3:30pm
2nd Shift M-F 3:30pm-2am
3rd Shift S-Th 10pm-6am

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Efficiently operate assigned machines
Troubleshoot any production or machine down time issues as they arise and complete tracking forms
Regularly clean and maintain production equipment
Fill out all required paperwork during shift to include downtime sheets, maintenance shift reports, and cleaning check lists
Ability to cross train and learn other pieces of equipment
Train other employees on proper operation of machines
Follows all health and safety policies and procedures, wear proper PPE at all times
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
GED or equivalent required
Previous machine operator experience required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
