I-KAN Schools is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Permanent Substitute Teacher to provide continuous instructional support throughout the academic year. This position requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth.
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
- Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
- Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Valid IL teaching certification or substitute teaching license.
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and grade levels.
- Commitment to student success and school values.
Salary Range: $28,000-$32,000.
