Job Overview
I Love Vacations is a premier property management company specializing in short-term rentals. We are dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences while ensuring our homeowners receive top-tier service and care. We are looking for a fast paced, detail-oriented property inspector to inspect vacation rental properties. In this role, you will evaluate properties for compliance with company standards. You will check commonly used items like tv controllers, drawers, door handles, and faucets to ensure they are functioning properly. You will also check to ensure the property has all items promised to guests by our company. You may be required to perform minor maintenance service in the event that you determine attention is needed during your inspection. You will communicate large maintenance repairs, and other important findings, to the respective departments upon completion of your inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect vacation rental properties to ensure they meet company standards.
- Check commonly used items such as TV remotes, drawers, door handles, and faucets to confirm functionality.
- Verify that all required guest amenities and promised items are available and in good condition.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., replacing batteries, light bulbs, or tightening loose fixtures).
- Report major maintenance issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Document inspection results and communicate findings efficiently.
- Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and guest service teams to maintain property excellence.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property inspections, hospitality, housekeeping, or maintenance preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of home maintenance and troubleshooting common household issues.
- Excellent communication skills to report findings clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
- Comfortable using technology to complete reports and communicate with teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, and squat to effectively inspect properties.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity and coordination to handle tools and equipment for minor maintenance repairs.
- Ability to navigate stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, and various property layouts.
- Visual acuity to evaluate maintenance issues, cleanliness standards, and inventory levels.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, adapting to varying temperatures and working conditions.
Schedule
- This is a full-time position. Working days are Sunday through Saturday with scheduled 40 hour a week shift based on business needs.
- Weekend work is required.
