What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator position at i.M. Branded?
The Inventory Coordinator facilitates two primary tasks, in addition to a number of ancillarysub functions. First, this position ensures that Company inventory is properlyand securely stored (physically) and recorded in the appropriate computerizedtracking/inventory systems (digitally), also completing occasional inventorycounts, and updating inventory items regularly. Additionally, this positionwill facilitate and/or work with the Company’s Material Handler to facilitatethe timely delivery of materials required for production throughout the plant.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to)
· Accurately record new inventory items inpertinent company software system(s) and ensure distributed/used items areproperly accounted for
· Work with Purchasing Department as needed toensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained
· Physically deliver OR coordinate the deliveryof required raw materials to various production areas
· Conduct regular inventory counts
· Work with Management to plan for theintroduction of new inventory items and the respective storage/spacerequirements, lead times, and other demands created by such introductions
· Recommend process improvements for inventorymaintenance as requested/needed
· Enter pertinent data into Company costaccounting systems as needed
· Other duties as assigned by Manager/CompanyManagement
REQUIREDSKILLS/COMPETENCIES (include but are not limited to)
· Proficiency with computers and the MS OfficeSuite including Excel
· Excellent, professional communication skills,both written and oral
· Detailed, with excellent time management andorganizational skills
· Basic math skills and the ability to read atape measure
· Critical thinking/problem solving skills andthe ability to work with others to ensure adherence to companypolicies/procedures
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS (include but are not limited to)
· The ability to safely lift heavy and/orcumbersome objects weighing 50 lbs.
· Bending/stooping, walking, climbing stairs andladders to store inventory
· The ability to safely operate a forklift(certification provided as needed)
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2 years of relevant work experience,preferably in the manufacturing field
· Demonstrated successful experience workingboth autonomously and with others in a fast-paced environment, requiring strongattention to detail
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
· 2 years of experience in an Inventory/MaterialsCoordinator role, preferably within the millwork and/or graphic printproduction industries
· Experience working with Tradesoft costaccounting software
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relateddiscipline
WORKENVIRONMENT
· Some mild exposure to saw dust created inproduct fabrication
· Exposure to the sounds of a variety of shopmachinery (saws, etc.)
