Job Summary:
With supervision, this position will evaluate, diagnose, perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on basic biomedical electronical equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate basic biomedical electronic equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs and perform PM’s.
- Inform management of repair status and unusual equipment issues along with customer concerns.
- Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to customers and staff regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Test, analyze, troubleshoot and repair electronic power supplies, modules, circuit cards and assemblies to the component level.
- Maintain proper care of tools and test equipment to ensure calibration.
- Perform inspections of current inventory, order and replace supplies that cannot be repaired.
- Complete incoming inspections to maintain a thorough and accurate inventory of medical devices, to include trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment inventory.
- Maintain a safe and clean work shop which represents the company’s quality standards and values.
- Provide weekly summary report of work/projects completed.
- Responsible for work products successful introduction into the repair cycle through its quality control check once tested and processed as repaired.
- Establish, maintain, and foster positive harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
