ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and acknowledges all guests while making them feel welcome.
• SMILE! When you smile while you talk the words sound better.
• Say key words like Welcome, Good Evening, Welcome to I|O Godfrey.
• Leave out/do not say “folks” or “guys (if there are also girls in the group)”
• Ability to multi-task in high volume and potentially stressful situations
• Ability to adhere to all company guidelines
• Knowledge of surrounding venues, events, etc.
• Walks the floor and provides all needed information to management regarding crowd control, disruptive patrons, etc. before engaging contact with guest.
• Ability to check ID’s and properly spot a fake ID
• Ability to arrive to work promptly with a positive attitude
• Ability to attend all company meetings
• Accommodates a guests needs, ie wheel chair, elevators and ensuring guests arrive to their correct location designated on reservation sheet
• Must be knowledgeable about The Godfrey Hotel and I|O Godfrey.
• Recognizes repeat guests while smiling and making eye contact
• Ability to dissolve all potentially disruptive situations in a quick, polite and quiet manner. Must report all such situations to management.
• Communicates guests needs to staff, i.e. anniversaries, VIP, and/or birthdays.
• Communicates all guest complaints to management.
• Ability to communicate with all guests in order to resolve all conflicts.
• Ability to investigate incidents.
• Performs all duties in adherence to company standards.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
