We are seeking a Forklift Operator (On-Call ) who is also willing to perform manual lumping duties as needed. This role requires operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials while also being prepared to assist with manual freight handling when necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment and available to work on short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move freight safely and efficiently.
- Assist with manual lumping, including lifting, stacking, and sorting products.
- Perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs or more as required.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Comfortable working in a non-controlled environment (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
- Willingness to perform manual labor in addition to forklift operation.
- Strong physical stamina to handle repetitive manual lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on short notice.
- Willing to work flexible hours based on business needs.
Work Schedule::
- On-call basis; shifts may vary depending on workload.
