We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screen Print Operator to join our client's dynamic team. As a Screen Print Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen printing machines to produce high-quality prints on various materials, such as apparel, promotional items, and signage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mount screens onto printing machines, ensuring accurate alignment and tension.
- Mix and prepare inks in accordance with job requirements and color specifications.
- Set up printing machines, adjusting settings for ink flow, print placement, and speed.
- Load materials onto the printing press and monitor the printing process to ensure consistent quality and color accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the printing process.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure artwork is properly transferred onto screens for printing.
- Perform quality checks on finished prints to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Screen Print Operator or in a similar printing role.
- Proficient in operating screen printing machinery and related equipment.
- Knowledge of various inks, substrates, and printing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality output.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to printing equipment.
- Good color perception and understanding of color mixing.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
