In this role, you will: Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area. Apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultant or final authority in area of expertise. Provide comprehensive income tax technical expertise in the research of complex issues and transactions. Provide technical income tax consultation regarding complex financial transactions across the enterprise and make recommendations related to income tax and accounting for income tax consequences. Participate in income tax compliance limited to the most demanding areas of tax compliance such as the preparation and evaluation of disclosures and elections. Identify opportunities requiring complex tax research, prepare memorandums and make recommendations relating to income tax planning and income tax risk reduction strategies. Act as a Lead Consultant for financial accounting for income tax and related matters. Direct the work of less experienced staff. Perform activities requiring subject matter expertise in all aspects of income tax accounting or corporate income taxes, and the Company's internal controls policies and ongoing compliance. Lead implementation of the most complex projects or initiatives impacting multiple lines of business companywide. Develop relationships with business unit leaders and enterprise staff function leaders to support their business needs and objectives and provide consultation and advice on complex income tax issues. Interface with external agencies, jurisdictional income tax authorities or industry forums. Work with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Required Qualifications: Experience in Corporate Tax, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Previous experience in international customer tax. Ability to provide effective advice to stakeholders on tax matters. Extensive knowledge and understanding of tax accounting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
