About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a VP in FX Trader Emerging Markets to join our Global FX and Rates Trading Team based in London. This team is responsible for providing Emerging Markets FX and Rates Products, (with a particular focus on CEEMEA and Asia markets), to our Corporate and Institutional Sales Force. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate pricing curves, deal profitably for the Bank and adhering to their risk limits. The successful candidate will be expected to help improve Emerging Market trading infrastructure, leveraging existing resources and technology across the business. They will work closely with the Global Sales team, providing insightful market colour, will be available for direct client interaction and will be able to contribute to the strategic direction of the business. In this role, you will: Quote markets to customers/marketers in EM FX and Rates products, including NDFs, FX Swaps, XCCY and linear rates. Maintain accurate pricing curves and generate consistent profitability while managing risk prudently and adhering to all risk mandates. Develop and implement EMFX trading strategy in line with the global FX business plans to grow its revenue base. Identify growth areas for the current platform and proactively drive the platform buildout through further product set-up, curve development, and hedging opportunities. Deliver financial results and market share of our client franchise. Partner with the Global Sales team to develop and grow our current client base and to develop strong partnership with our clients. Work with other Trading Desks across locations to accurately and efficiently disseminate market relevant information. Improve trading desk infrastructure by leveraging in-house technology and optimize electronic trading across Asia/Europe/US. Required Qualifications: Experience in Securities Trading, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in sciences or finance, although post-graduate degree is preferred Previous experience in FX markets is required, previous knowledge of Emerging Markets and FX/Rates trading systems is an advantage Strong analytical/technical skills Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA is required. Further coding skills/experience would be an advantage. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
