Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented painter to join our sign shop team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Matthews acrylic polyurethane paint systems and a passion for creating high-quality, durable signage.

Responsibilities :

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers
Mix Matthews Paint colors according to specifications using the Matthews Paint Mixing System
Apply paint using various techniques including spray guns, brushes, and rollers
Paint pylon signs and channel letters
Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns and paint mixing tools
Follow safety protocols for handling, applying, and disposing of paints and cleaning agents

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

2-3 years of experience in sign painting or related field such as playground or sports equipment

Proficiency with Matthews Paint products and mixing systems

Knowledge of color theory and ability to match colors accurately

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to use proper safety equipment

Skills :

Excellent hand-eye coordination and steady hand for precise painting

Strong color perception and matching abilities

Familiarity with various painting techniques and tools

Basic math skills for calculating paint quantities and mixing ratios

Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Company Description

We are a regional sign manufacturing and installation company specializing in digital signs and scoreboards. We also do standard electrical monument / pylon signs, channel letters, vinyl graphics and ADA signs. We are a UL listed shop and have sign contractor's license in Florida and Alabama.
