Job Overview:
i3 Academy is a small public charter school in Alabama, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Principal who will oversee student discipline, school operations, and Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a positive school culture, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, and advancing career readiness opportunities for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Disciplinary Duties:
- Oversee student behavior management and implement effective disciplinary policies aligned with the school’s mission and state guidelines.
- Work closely with teachers, students, and parents to address behavioral concerns, providing appropriate interventions and support.
- Maintain accurate records of disciplinary actions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement programs to support positive student behavior and school culture.
Operations Duties:
- Assist in the daily administration of school operations, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
- Support scheduling, facility management, transportation, and other logistical needs of the school.
- Coordinate with staff to manage emergency preparedness and safety procedures.
- Assist in compliance with local, state, and federal education regulations.
Career Technical Education (CTE) Director Duties:
- Lead and manage the school’s Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, ensuring alignment with Alabama state requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and industry leaders to expand career pathways for students.
- Oversee CTE curriculum development, instructional resources, and teacher support.
- Monitor student participation and success in CTE programs, including internships, apprenticeships, and dual enrollment opportunities.
- Seek funding opportunities and grants to enhance CTE offerings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid Alabama administrative certification or ability to obtain one.
- Experience in school administration, student discipline, operations, and/or career technical education.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, families, and community partners.
- Knowledge of CTE programs, workforce development, and postsecondary pathways.
- Commitment to student success and the mission of public charter schools.
