SureScan designs, manufactures, sells and services baggage screening systems for checked baggage for airports around the world. These scanners utilize computed tomography to analyze the contents of a bag for threats. Technologies of software, algorithms, physics, x-rays, computed tomography and high voltage systems are applied to our product. Our engineers and scientists find the work here technically fascinating, as it allows for constant learning and exploration in a production environment.

This quality engineering position has responsibility for supplier and process quality for SureScan. Responsibilities include participating in supplier assessments and selection, performing pre-analysis and acceptance on mechanical prints, including analysis of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. This person will also inspect and test warranty return materials and perform failure analysis on them, including tear-down and inspection of failed x-ray tube assemblies. This engineer will also drive process quality and process definitions to improve performance and reliability of x-ray generator assemblies, working collaboratively with our subcontractor who performs the assembly.
This position provides a variety of tasks and engineering activities in an environment in which this engineer will have a direct and measurable impact on SureScan’s product and is performance and quality.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three or more years related experience and/or training in procurement engineering, quality or process engineering in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or physics is helpful. Familiarity with machining processes is helpful. Prior experience with high voltage applications and x-rays is desired. Skills:
