What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Associate Assembly 2 position at i3 Assembly?
This is a 2nd shift position which offers a 10% differential.
Job Description:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of manufacturing operations on cables. Requires direction only when performing new tasks and willing to train or assist others. Able to train on high level operations based on the needs of the business.
Knowledge/Skills:
--Ability to follow written manufacturing instructions and general manufacturing designs / drawings / diagrams
--Computer skills and use of computer programs / software specific to the manufacturing process, tracking and traceability of product
--Understands processes and work instructions and can recognize non-conformance or problems in production processes
Qualifications - Education/Experience:
--High school or equivalent
--Basic reading, writing and math skills
--Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
--At least 6 months of maufacturing cable experience
--Must be able to work overtime as required
--Must abe able to flex time based on customer needs
-- Some soldering experience preferred but not required
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements)
Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction
Must be available for overtime work
Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours
Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance
Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses
