JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the physical environments of organizations function optimally. This professional is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, security, and operational efficiency of a company’s buildings and facilities. They ensure that physical structures adhere to health and safety standards and meet all regulatory compliance requirements. The Facilities Manager is also tasked with managing both the facilities budget and the facility staff to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for employees and visitors. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and implementing facility management policies and procedures.
- Planning and coordinating all installation and refurbishment operations.
- Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Inspecting buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Managing the facilities staff, contractors, and external suppliers.
- Overseeing facility refurbishments, renovations, and building projects.
- Handling the allocation and management of space within buildings.
- Manage custodian team and procure supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and facilities.
- Monitor building maintenance budgets and expenditures.
- Implement best practices, techniques, and equipment that promote cost-efficiency.
- Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate intra-office moves, including logistical support and planning.
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs promptly.
- Recommend upgrades and modifications for improving overall facilities management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business management, preferred.
- Proven experience in facilities management or operational administration. Hands-on experience in maintenance, repairs, and building work is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Salary : $64,000 - $75,000
