About the Role: As a key member of the i3 Energy team, you will play a vital part in delivering energy efficiency initiatives to business customers. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers and contractors to promote energy-saving opportunities, analyzing data to identify prospects, documenting program activity, creating reports, and conducting project inspections.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Customer & Contractor Outreach: Assist the Energy Advisor team in engaging contractors and business customers to identify and promote energy efficiency savings opportunities
- Field Support: Shadow senior energy advisors during industrial and small business site visits and perform project inspections to ensure program standards and quality are being met
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze customer and contractor data to identify prospects and opportunities for deeper program participation
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with contractors to gather feedback and identify areas for enhancing program processes and results
- Program Reporting: Create detailed reports on program participation, performance metrics, and outreach results, while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and cloud storage systems
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with manufacturers, sales organizations, contractors, and other stakeholders to support program objectives
- Strategic Initiatives: Assist with various special projects and initiatives that arise during the program year
What We're Looking For: We need a self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint), and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve project challenges effectively.
Requirements:
- Around 2-3 years of experience in energy efficiency, utility services, or business operations
- Familiarity with energy efficiency programs, electric/gas utilities, or the trades
- Knowledge of industrial processes, supply chain logistics, or business operations is a plus
- Previous experience working with contractors, manufacturers, or energy services
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred or High School Diploma with significant related experience.
Working Conditions: This role requires lifting up to 15 pounds at times, comfort driving and sitting for extended periods, and willingness to travel frequently including up to 3 overnight stays per year.
